Kaua‘i Community
College (KCC), a two-year public community college, is the only college on the island of
Kaua‘i. Its 200 acre campus is located
just west of Lihu‘e, the County seat. Begun
in 1928 as a vocational school, it became a comprehensive community college in 1965.
KCC’s mission is to provide access to quality learning within a caring environment. The college’s objectives include a forward approach working in partnership with the island community. Curricular covers a comprehensive spectrum of liberal arts and technical/occupational programs, including business education, nursing and other health services, culinary arts, electronics and trades technology.
